Gabrielle Tyrie (she/her) is an artist and photographer. To her, photographs are the skin that covers the body of history, culture and self-expression. Despite it being pretty bleak our there, she loves being a contemporary artist, as she zings between digital and analogue methodologies to understand their specific emotional resonances. Tyrie has exhibited in galleries such as Gallery 44 and The Image Centre. Her work has been written about in Cornelia Magazine and CBC Arts. Tyrie is a current MFA candidate at the University of Guelph. She lives in Guelph and Toronto.
